View of the Château de Chambord with the canal which bears the same name. This castle is located in the commune of Chambord, 17 km from Blois in the department of Loir-et-Cher, in the Centre-Val de Loire region (France). It is the largest of the Loire castles. It was François I, King of France, who had this castle built there in 1516.
