The clock of the Musée d'Orsay is one of the only vestiges of the time when this museum was a train station. Inaugurated in 1900 on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition, this new Parisian station was intended for journeys to the South-West of France. But in 1986 it was transformed into a museum.
